Southeastern Iowa Fall Cattle Dog Trial Saturday & Sunday October 11 & 12, 2008 Handler's Meeting~ 8:45a.m. CST Start Time~ 9:00 a.m. Entry Fees: Novice~$25.00/ Pro-Novice & Nursery~$35.00/ Open or Team~$40.00 There will be a Shoot-out on Sunday of the top 5 Open dogs and top 2 Pro-Novice/Nursery Dogs There will be a $50.00 entry fee to participate in the Shoot Out. Trial is located at Gary Goehring's Farm 2.5 miles north of Keosauqua or 2.5 miles south of Hwy 16 on Hwy 1 approzimately 18 miles south of Fairfield. | Hi Shalee, I thought I’d send the entry forms for this years trial to you again this year. This year we’ve made some changes… Sept. 26 & 27 will be the goat trial and the 28th will be a cattle trial. So far there is $1000 added money again and nearly every penny of it will be paid out and we will either absorb or find sponsors to cover most of the expense to help make this a fun and worth while trial for competitors to attend. The goat trial will be out here on the ranch grounds (same location as last year), the cattle trial will be held at the rodeo grounds at Callaway. Concessions will be available on site at all trials and all workers eat free… not much for pay in this day in age but a tad bit better than a bite in the shorts. There will be a Saturday night dance with a live band and taco feed here at the ranch. Competitors and workers may attend free of charge, the public will pay a small fee to attend. Hi, can you announce this? I have a couple openings left if anyone is interested. TIA, Pam Wolf Three Day Clinic with Gordon Watt Sycamore, Illinois site October 17-19; Kansas site October 24-26 Limited to ten dogs per day. Each will get two work sessions a day. $225 for three days. $80 for single days (per day entries accepted only after September 1, 2008 if space is available) Private lessons as time allows on October 20-23 at $60 per half hour Gordon has competed and placed highly for many years representing both Ireland and England in International competitions.
